Community Involvement

Northwestern Mutual in Charleston knows the importance of giving back to their community. That is why they are involved in organizations like the West Virginia Symphony League. This league helps raise funds for children’s programs.

In 2001, the Jackson County Community Foundation was established. Northwestern Mutual helps this group raise funds by challenging non-profit groups to give grants and scholarships back to the community.

Our network office in Charleston has also been involved in community revitalization by renovating a centuries-old building. This renovation not only revitalized an historic building but brought it back to life, and we now operate out of this location in the heart of downtown Charleston.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation Recognizes Northwestern Mutual for its Support of Childhood Cancer Research

It’s with heartfelt gratitude that we say thank you to Northwestern Mutual for raising critical funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. Together, Northwestern Mutual offices raised more than $515,000 through its Race for Research. These dollars will support 10,300 hours of childhood cancer research. Thank you Northwestern Mutual for joining us in the fight. You are making a difference!
